When looking back on my photos from last month, I noticed that I had not finished many projects.
My love for animals got in the way. My husband and I rescued a little puppy on January 8th. This little guy has taken up a lot of my time.
He was found at a bus stop, cold, muddy and hungry. He had no collar or chip. We have neighbors who volunteer for a local rescue so, we decided to foster. His name is Maximus, due to his maximum amount of energy. He is learning quick and getting along great with my other dog Coolwhip.
On Jan 17th, the Spring issue of Crochet World was mailed to my house. My Watercolor Waves Poncho is featured on page 58. Click on photo to purchase your issue.
Of course, my love for crochet usually dominates my day. I decided that I wanted to try a continuous flower pattern. I just love a new challenge. This pattern is a paid pattern by CrochetSpotPatterns on Etsy. The pattern is called Flower Pillow Cover. It is a well written pattern and one that I am sure I will make again. It is a yarn eater but, well worth it. I need to purchase a coordinating yarn to finish the project.
I finally published my Ivy Trellis Shawl on my website. It is available to purchase exclusively on my site for the entire month of February. After that, I will be publishing it on Ravelry and Etsy. I enjoyed making this one so much that I decided to make it again but in a solid color. I am about halfway through and I am loving it. Click on either picture to purchase the pattern.
Because I love teaching so much, I have added more classes to my calendar. I have 2 classes starting this month at NISD. A Crochet Basics class starts on the 20th and Crochet: The Next Step starts on the 23rd. You can register by clicking the button below.
I am also teaching a children's class (ages 10-13) on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. These classes are 1.5 hours for $20. My goal is to keep the classes small, so each student gets the attention they deserve. You can register by clicking the button below.
Wednesdays at Wonderland is still going strong. Every Wednesday we meet to learn and exchange ideas. You can register by clicking the button below.
Well, I think that is all for now. I am looking forward to teaching lots of classes and finishing many projects. I hope your February is just lovely.
Great Job mi Esposo!
Glad you get to do what you love!
Great Piece Rebecca! Your shawl is lovely! I also have the new magazine with your other shawl. I want to make both! Kiddos for saving that little doggie!
